Founders

Eyes on Aiken was founded in 2023 by LaShaun Hamilton-Ryans and Teresa Callahan, two compassionate women born and raised in Aiken. Their shared history in the same neighborhood instilled in them a deep love for their neighbors and a profound commitment to their community.

Susan B. Harrison, who has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work,  is a breath of fresh air to Eyes On Aiken’s team.  Susan has a servant’s heart and always goes above and beyond to assist anyone in need.  She has always been passionate about filling the blessing boxes on the Northwest & Northeast side of Aiken.  Enough can’t be said about how Susan has added unmeasurable value to our EOA team.

They were fortunate to be part of loving American families thriving within a close-knit neighborhood. It was an atmosphere of harmony, respect, and sharing. Neighbors could count on each other for support. If one household needed something, rest assured that someone nearby had it to offer.

In this extraordinary community, concern was not just spoken but demonstrated daily. People watched out for one another, including the children.

Much of this has been lost in today’s fast-paced world with self-absorption and social isolation. Eyes on Aiken was established to overcome these barriers … to rediscover and restore a spirit of unity and mutual concern.
