Volunteers
Volunteers are our lifeblood. Volunteers identify the hidden issues that may present an imminent crisis. They sometimes work with us to deliver a remedy. Volunteers also lend a helping hand and sometimes a strong back in our community projects.
Volunteers participate in our neighborhood revitalization, street clean-up, and beautification initiatives. We are working to rejuvenate the Washington Circle neighborhood, to restore Pinelawn Cemetery, and to clean and beautify Hampton Avenue through SCDOT’s Adopt a Highway program.
Additional neighborhood and street projects are on the horizon as our volunteer network expands, enabling us to target other deteriorating areas.
Goods and Services
Delivering a remedy may involve providing food, clothing, household items, or other tangible support.
Delivering a remedy may involve assistance with a service need, such as medical attention, mental health counseling, housing, daycare support, life skills, literacy, employment, transportation, sanitation, or a similar routine or emergent need.
Donations of goods and services, or providing them at a discounted price, are always needed.
Contributions
Financial contributions help Eyes on Aiken engage in all three pillars, particularly with delivering a remedy specific to an individual’s need. Donations also cover basic operating and administrative costs.
